Happy Monday everyone :) I hope you all had a lovely weekend. It felt like summer again here in NY, reaching over 80º yesterday! However, fall is officially a day away, so today’s work wear inspiration incorporates light layering, a wool pant, and deep burgundy hues. I wanted to break up the all-black outfit with a crisp white blazer, and I added a long strand of pearls since the neckline on the top is cut high. I think a long necklace, or pendant necklace pairs really well with black as it draws a vertical line and creates a slimming, elongating effect. Because the pants are ankle-length, I chose a pair of incredible pumps that really want to be showcased and not covered by the hem of your pants. The beauty burgundy leather is perfect for the fall season, and I added a chocolate-colored nail polish with hints of red, which will complement the look. Because the majority of the outfit consists of dark fabrics and hues, I kept the lip color a matte neutral. I added a black tote to finish out the look. I hope you all have a great week!
Whether it’s a wedding, bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, date night, garden party, or anniversary (to name a few), this dress is perfect for every occasion. The combination of bold colors and subtle pastels makes this dress appropriate for Spring through Fall. With the right accessories, it could even be worn into the winter. The dress quickly sold out on the U.S. Topshop website, and I was so happy to see it as a new arrival at Nordstrom. I had the dress in my shopping cart on the Topshop website and unfortunately didn’t pull the trigger quick enough before my size was suddenly sold out. But, now I have another chance to score this beautiful satin dress. As we enter fall, I would pair this dress with jewel tone pumps like these teal suede beauties, or this deep royal blue style.
Happy Friday! Today’s weekend wear look has a rustic vibe: the warm red-orange color and the print of this cardigan, along with these suede ankle boots in a western style make me think of spending the weekend up in the mountains reading a book by the fire, or sitting outside by a bonfire toasting marshmallows :) I know I’ve mentioned it before, but I love everything about the fall season. It’s moments like these that I wait all year long for! I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!
It’s back to my favorite fall color combination. Whether it’s black and camel or black and cognac, they complement each other so well, and the warm brown in a perfect hue for fall. This cognac leather jacket has quickly become my favorite and will most likely remain so for the fall season. Only when I’m forced to break out my heavy winter coats will I willingly give up wearing this lovely jacket. All black everything has been my fashion motto for most of my adult life. It’s definitely what I’m most comfortable in. However, I added a pop of print with my favorite leopard pumps to add some fun to the overall look :)
