Keeping things short and sweet today because I’ve managed to break the space bar on my laptop and it’s taking me forever just to type this one sentence. Today im wearing one of my favorite combinations for the holiday season: a bright poppy red and black. I also love pairing white and red together but with the weather we’ve had here this past week, I’m honestly scared to attempt anything white!!
I hope you’re all having a wonderful week! Thanks so much for stopping by :)
Time to break out the vitamin D! Even in the middle of the day it looks as though the sun is going down. It’s so grey and dusky. I shall miss you sun….until we meet again in the Spring. With grey days comes the onslaught of black and grey outfits, and I don’t feel guilty about it. I rarely wear color to begin with, but this time of year it’s mostly dark neutrals with some pops of color here and there if the mood is right. For all my readers…I hope the sun is shining where you are! Thanks for stopping by :)
I have a huge stack of tees in three colors: white, grey and black. I love them. I wear them with everything and love how they can easily be dressed up despite their casual style. I’ve said it a million times on this blog and will continue saying it: if an article of clothing is versatile, I buy it. I had really wanted to wear this simple black long-sleeve tee and full midi skirt with a statement necklace like this one here, but unfortunately I did not have a necklace similar. So Instead, I chose to layer fun bracelets, put on a pair of sparkly stud earrings, and don a bold lip. I added my favorite plaid scarf for dimension. The result was a simple but fun holiday look :)
Oh hey guys, I’m alive. I recently moved and therefore have been buried under boxes, but I’ve finally managed to surface. I promised you all some holiday looks, so that’s my goal with the next few posts. I came across these really fun yet chic velvet sequin shorts and knew I had to create a look with them. Because these shorts will yell out, “I’ve arrived! Where’s the wine?!” I wanted to keep the rest of the look simple and sophisticated. Therefore, I’ve paired them with a simple black cami and a well-fitted satin peplum blazer. You can do no wrong with a black and white look around the holidays, adding pops of red here and there. With this look, I incorporated color through a glossy lip. I added simple black leather pumps (patent leather would also look super cute), and crystal earrings to create some balance with the shorts. I didn’t want to overdo it with the sparkle, which is why I chose studs rather than large statement earrings. I also think when you do a red lip, you don’t want too much else going on around your face. I then added a beaded black clutch to finish out the look.
I hope you all have a great Wednesday! Thanks for reading :)
