Hey everyone! I hope you’re having a great week so far :) I have finally gotten away for a much-needed vacation, so I apologize if my posts are brief for the next week.
Typically, you see me wear a lot of black and white work wear looks, and my casual looks tend to have a little more color. But today I decided to style a monochrome casual look for something different. The lovely floral print of these super soft shorts is a nice contrast to the edgy leather jacket. A cozy prima jersey tee keeps the look simple, and these black Chuck Taylor classics finish off the look (a closet staple!).
Hey everyone! So this dress is my faaaaavorite dress now!! I’m absolutely in love with it and plan to purchase it in the black color as well. Plus everything at banana republic is 40% off with code BRLABOR! The ponte fabric is the perfect weight for transitioning from summer to fall. The dress can be worn on its own, or layered with a blouse as I’ve style it. For more ideas on how to style this dress: As we eventually transition into late fall/winter, this dress will look great with black tights and ankle boots, and a wool blazer. This fall, you can style this dress casually with a pair of printed flats and a lightweight wool or leather jacket. Hopefully these suggestions provide you some inspiration! There’s nothing better than a versatile piece that’s not only easily styled from formal/professional to casual, but also a piece that will take you through all four seasons. This dress is definitely a staple! The fabric will help it maintain its shape and durability for many miles :)
Happy Monday! This week’s work wear inspiration is a chic black and white look, with pops of mauve and lilac. This top is a classic style, flattering on any figure, and can be styled endless ways. You could pair it with a pencil, A-line, or full skirt. It’ll also dress up skinny jeans for a night out. Because the top is solid, I wanted to add a fun printed piece. Enter: these lovely textured pants. They are pretty much an outfit on their own. They would also look great paired with a simple white blouse, like these here and here. I love heels that are half textured leather and half solid leather or suede. The texture of these pumps is perfection, and the cut of the heel is very flattering. Pairing textures with prints is an easy way to transform your look from boring to fun and chic! Keeping the textures and prints within the same color family is a safe way to try it out :) A simple black tote and sleek silver watch tie everything together for this professional look. I hope you all had a great weekend!
